The Sun Shines High! Updated!! Empty The Sun Shines High! Updated!!

Post by Peace Tue Jul 26, 2011 3:21 pm

With 49th's words in mind I present The new SunTeam!

Vulpix (M) @ Eviolite [Only admins are allowed to see this image]
Trait: Drought
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Flamethrower
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Will-O-Wisp
- Substitute
Vulpix's purpose doesn't stray that far from Ninetales. It comes in puts the sun in the sky and do what it can do. The Evi is for the heightened Def. and Sp.Def.

FlameKnight(Charizard)(M)@ChoiceScarf[Only admins are allowed to see this image]
Trait: Solar Power
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Fire Blast
- Air Slash
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]

With the sun shining high in the sky it now comes to Charizard with its Sp.Att at 522 it can OHKO close to anything and if its not a OHKO its damn close. With base speed at 298 the choice scarf really does com in handy at speeding up the naturally slow lizard. Usually when this heavy hitter comes in it knocks out 1-2 Pokemon at the least and I've come to love him for that fact. The choice scarf can bless but just as easily be a pain when I have to swap just to change moves, but it seems to be worth it. Goal:(Come in attempt to wipe the field clean)

Solid Snake (Steelix) (M) @ Leftovers[Only admins are allowed to see this image]
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 3 Atk / 255 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Stealth Rock
- Dragon Tail
The new and improved Steelix can cause some serious damage if it can stay alive on the field. Once it sets up Stealth Rock I can Dragon Tail and keep bringing Pokemons from the other team causing damage to them. This thing can be quite destructive as I've managed to take out 2 fire pokemon in a row with it ._. This Snake of metal's goal? Simple. Set up SR and damage the team by Dragon Tailing em all out!

KnightOfSky (Salamence) (M) @ Life Orb[Only admins are allowed to see this image]
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 116 Atk / 216 SAtk / 176 Spd
Rash Nature (+SAtk, -SDef)
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
- Brick Break
- Outrage
Taking D-Nite's place be the dreaded MixMence! Salamence doesn't get any stat boosts from the sun(aside from the power boost for Fire Blast) but it does make a nice member to help round the team out in the attack section. I'm sure most people will know the workings of MixMence and I really shouldn't need to describe it. His goal is the same as D-Nites get in there and F**** that shit up .___.

SpinMe>Round (Hitmontop) (M) @ Leftovers[Only admins are allowed to see this image]
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Rapid Spin
- Foresight
- Close Combat
- Sucker Punch
Taking Scrafty's position is Hitmontop! This guy has 2 purposes on the battlefield(3 under some conditions) 1.Rapid Spin-Take out all entry hazards for any upcoming pokemon. 2. Foresight- Allow ghost pokemon to be hit by all attack types. 3.Close Combat and Sucker Punch... go beat up some of dem der pokemon. It's Intimidate helps bring down the opponents attack to help make it less of a threat then it already is. The main reason my spinning friend replaced my BadAssLizard, was that i found more helpful against fighting types.

Venusaur@Leftovers[Only admins are allowed to see this image]
Trait: Chlorophyll
EVs: 52 HP / 208 SAtk / 124 SDef / 120 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Giga Drain
- SolarBeam
- Sleep Powder
- Hidden Power [Fire]
Replaced Mantine with the final evolution of Bulbasaur, Venusaur! With the sun shining high Solarbeam doesn't have to charge up making it all the deadlier. Giga Drain to recover health and still attack. I've replaced HP Ground with HP Fire since it gains the power boost from the sun, and Sleep Powder.... that's not to hard to figure out ._. Goal: Join in on the cleaning house.

Steelix is from Hat.

Dude, something that helps out for both parties in an RMT is the Export Team option. It gives you the evs, moves and everything, and it makes thing a little bit easier. Check out my RMT thing if you need an example, mmk bud?

I'll delve into it later ._.

Ugh, now ill have to find someone else put there ._.

Josehero - I've already dealt with that and its ended up as close fights(1-0 0-1 like that) so I've already dealt with people stealing sun.

kk, I guess I'll get right too it then.

Ninetales looks fair, from what I've been seeing I assume it's somewhere on Smogon, correct? Anywho, I personally prefer Eviolite Vulpix over Ninetales when it comes to a bulky Sun starter, but whatever. Be wary of Scarfed Ttar, it is the bane of most Ninetales.

Again, pretty standard charizard nowadays, not much to say there. However, with a team that lacks a spinner I would say that having him on your team may be a bit of a difficult task :/

Like I mentioned with Steelix on the core topic, I would the it'd be wise to add a bit of sp.def investment to it, as it's physucal defense is already mammoth. Also, I would think that Stealth Rock would hold more significance than Toxic, as it would help many of your more offense pokes net some OHKOs and such.

Not sugarcoating this, DD Mixmence outclasses Dnite in every way outside of a lead role. He hits the 100 base speed tier, has access to cleaner switch-ins thanks to Intimidate, and can better abuse his sp.atk w/Fire Blast. I've been saying it, and it holds true, so there :/

Personally, not really lovin' Scrafty :/ I would think that the one Fighting type on your team would be helping you with troublesome Rock types, but it doesn't seem like he could do that. He doesn't take a Superpower/Focus Punch from Ttar well, nor can he really manage Terrakion. If anything, I would suggest running a Hitmontop over him. With access to Intimidate, supplemented by his respectable defenses, he can make a great check to such threats, as well as supplying your team with a much needed spinner.

Alrighty, couple points on the venasaur. For one, don't run Venoshock without Tspikes support, he can barely get away with Sludge Bomb :/ Run that if anything. Also, it's almost essential that he runs Hp Fire, if you want a ground move that badly simply run a mixed set w/EQ. So yeah, there you have it

Overall, your team has quite the SR weakness, which is why is was vying for the addition of Hitmontop there. Also, I feel that LO Starmie and Terrakion would do quite a lot of damage to your team as is.

Anywho, hope I was of help. Cheers .-.

Thank you for the help. Ill work with my team some and post the diff results back up later. As for Steelix's Def. Stat I have done a bit of work with that trying to make it a bit more sturdy towards them fighting moves ._. I will most likely swap out D-Nite and Venasaur for something else when I find something good to put there. As for Scrafty he is there cause of my past success with him. Any who thank you for the suggestions and i will work on it some today.
